A website for a pottery studio

For a potter who makes and sells their own work: every card shows the glaze and the firing number, every one-off piece is an option with a stock of one so the piece in the photo is the one that ships, the next firing and the kiln log have a page, glazes have pages of their own like brands, orders from the next firing carry their making time, sets are ordered with the buyer's initials, and wheel classes sell with nothing to ship, in one ready site that takes orders from day one.

The product page

Every piece an option, with a stock of one

One-off pieces are each an option with their own photo and price; when one sells, only that one leaves the list. The specs give the glaze, the firing, the clay, the size and how to wash it, and the seller can say under the price what they promise.

  • Glaze, firing, clay
  • An option for every piece
  • The seller's promise under the price

The kiln page

The next firing and the kiln log

A card shows when the next firing is loaded, when it opens and how much room is left, with the pieces you can order from it underneath. The kiln log says how many pieces came out of each firing and how many cracked.

  • Orders from the next firing
  • Making time beside the price
  • A kiln log that counts the cracks

The glazes

Every glaze, a page of its own

The glazes stand in for brands: each has its mark, its description and its own list of pieces. A table says which glazes go in the dishwasher and microwave, and buyers shop with a «washing» filter.

FAQ

Common questions

Do the demo's products and pictures become mine?

The site is built with these pages and sample products so you can see how it works. Then you put your own products in their place, or take the sample data out with one button.

Where do I change a piece's glaze and firing number?

Both are product attributes, changed on that product's page in the panel. Which attributes show on cards and which become filters you pick in the shop settings.

Does it have an English site?

Yes. Every page and product takes an English translation and the visitor switches language from the header.

What else do I need to sell online?

A payment gateway in your own name and a domain. Hosting, upkeep and updates are on Sima.
